The standard entitlement of unemployment security goes back to 300 euros at the beginning of December
The standard entitlement of the unemployment security was increased to 500 euros by a temporary legislative amendment in June 2020. From December onwards, the standard entitlement will be 300 euros again. Terms of the mobility assistance will also return to normal.
The basic unemployment allowance will increase with an index increment of 2.1 percent next year
Kela has confirmed the value of the National Pensions Index for 2022; the value also affects the basic unemployment allowance as well as the earnings-related unemployment allowance.
Koko’s membership fee is reduced to 63 euros
KOKO fund’s membership fee for 2022 is 63 euros. The membership fee is decreasing from the fee of 2021.
TE offices are centralising the specialist statements to their office in Uusimaa
As from the beginning of October, the TE office has centralised issuing labour policy statements by the specialists to the Uusimaa TE office.
Increase in the standard entitlement of unemployment security will continue until the end of November
The Parliament has approved a legislative amendment that will continue the standard entitlement of unemployment security until the end of November 2021. The easing of the terms of the mobility assistance will also continue.
The KOKO website has been improved
During the summer 2021, the KOKO website has been improved to better serve users. The website has corrected accessibility deficiencies and clarified the structure of the site to make it more functional for users, to give you a few examples.

Work carried out in the UK continues to be acknowledged when claiming unemployment allowance
The UK has entered into a partnership agreement with the EU, which will remain in force for the next 15 years. With this partnership agreement, work carried out in the UK may be acknowledged when claiming for earnings-related unemployment allowance benefit in Finland.

2020 customer survey: KOKO more successful than ever according to members – A big thanks to our members!
KOKO investigated its members’ experiences with a customer satisfaction survey carried out in late 2020 by research company Onway Oy. A total of 1,025 members of KOKO fund who had used the fund’s services during the past six months responded to the survey.
