Accessibility statement

This accessibility statement for the website www.kokokassa.fi was last updated on 29 December 2021. This accessibility statement is supplemented by the accessibility statement for eService.

The accessibility of the service has been assessed by a third-party expert organisation.

Digital service accessibility status

The site has been updated to conform to most accessibility requirements. This statement lists the areas in which possible non-conformances may still occur. If you notice any other non-conformances while using the service, you can report them to KOKO (see instructions below).

Inaccessible content and its deficiencies

According to the four basic principles of the WCAG standard, a website must be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. The following are the deficiencies identified on the site, broken down by these principles.

1.    Perceivable

Identified non-conformances have been addressed. No non-conformances in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

2.     Operable

Detection of active points

When moving around the keyboard, the active point usually stands out well. An exception to this is the activeness of the Chat element, which could not be detected by any browser used in the assessment.

Appointment calendar

The appointment calendar is inaccessible for the user of assistive technology. If necessary, users can schedule an appointment by contacting KOKO’s customer service.

3.    Understandable

Identified non-conformances have been addressed. No non-conformances in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

4.    Robust

Identified non-conformances have been addressed. No non-conformances in accordance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA.

Other, not related to a single criterion listed above

Chatbot

Using with assistive technology is challenging. The button from which the chatbot opens is not named and the contents of the window will only come in the tab order after the chat button. The service is slightly easier to use on mobile devices than on desktop browsers.

Safari browser

Visitors may encounter accessibility issues on the Safari browser due to the browser’s lack of accessibility support. We recommend that visitors who use web accessibility features use some other browser to access the site.

High contrast dark mode and support for Firefox browser

Support for a high contrast dark mode is not included in WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility requirements. We recommend selecting a browser that supports the high contrast theme in Windows.

The Firefox browser currently has very limited support for accessibility features. For example, according to Mozilla’s support page, navigating the site with a keyboard requires changing the browser settings manually. For this reason, users may encounter accessibility issues with the Firefox browser.
