Kela has confirmed the value of the National Pensions Index for 2023; the value also affects the basic unemployment allowance as well as the earnings-related unemployment allowance.
The benefits linked to the National Pensions Index will increase by 4.2%. The basic unemployment allowance and the basic component of the earnings-related unemployment allowance will rise to EUR 37.21, and the child increase for one child will rise to EUR 7.01, the increase for two children to EUR 10.29 and the increase for at least three children to EUR 13.26.
The increase will take effect on 1 January 2023. It will affect benefits applied for 1 January 2023 and the days after that.
