Tax cards for the year 2026 and requesting a revised tax card for benefits

New tax cards for the year 2026 will apply as of 1 January 2026. The tax cards of current recipients of earnings-related unemployment benefits will be sent to KOKO automatically.

Please note that, by default, your new tax card will be for earnings from employment. If we have to use a tax card for earnings from employment to tax your earnings-related unemployment allowance, we will always have to withhold at least 25% even if the tax rate stated on your tax card is lower.

Request a revised tax card for benefits via your MyTax profile to make sure you get taxed at the right rate

If you are receiving an earnings-related unemployment allowance, we highly recommend that you request a revised tax card for benefits. With a revised tax card, your tax rate will be based on your income from benefits, and your earnings-related unemployment allowance will be taxed at the rate stated on your tax card.

Please select KOKO fund as the payer of your benefits when you request your revised tax card in the MyTax portal. Your revised tax card will then be forwarded to KOKO automatically within two business days.
