If you receive earnings-related unemployment allowance, check well in advance that the annual income ceiling on your tax card is set high enough for the rest of the year. If you exceed the income ceiling, we will have to apply a higher additional tax rate on the allowances we pay.
You can check your tax card’s income ceiling and how much you have been paid in benefits in 2025 in KOKO’s eAsiointi under status information or on your most recent payment notification.
Order a revised tax card if necessary
If it appears that you will exceed your income ceiling, order a revised tax card for the rest of the year from the Tax Administration’s online service. Select Korkeasti koulutettujen kassa KOKO (Unemployment fund for the highly educated KOKO) as the payer of the allowance to ensure that the new tax card is delivered directly to us. Please note that the revised tax card will be delivered to the fund in about two weekdays. In other words, it will not appear in our information immediately after you apply for the new tax card.
