The E-services of Job Market Finland will be down for maintenance at the turn of the year from Monday, 30 December 2024 at 8 am until Thursday, 2 January 2025 at 8 am. During the outage, it is not possible to log in to the service and register as a jobseeker with the employment authorities.
If your unemployment or temporary lay-off begins during the maintenance break, we recommend that you register as a jobseeker before the break. This way, you ensure that your job search is activated on time. You need to active your job search before you can receive unemployment allowance and before your waiting period begins.
You can activate your job search even if you are still employed and your unemployment or temporary lay-off has not yet started. Registering ahead of time can also speed up the processing of your case as this way, the start date of your status as a jobseeker does not need to be adjusted later.
Do as follows
- If your unemployment or temporary lay-off starts between 30 December 2024 and 1 January 2025, log in to the E-services at Job Market Finland by 29 December 2024 at the latest and activate your job search. After this, the municipality or local government pilot will instruct you on the next steps to maintain your job search.
- After two weeks, apply for a daily allowance at the KOKO eAsiointi online service.
If you have not activated your job search before the maintenance break
If you have not activated your job search before the maintenance break and your unemployment or temporary lay-off begins during the break, contact your local employment authorities. Starting at the turn of the year, the employment authority is your municipality of residence or employment area formed by several municipalities. Information about local employment authorities can be found on the Regional pages at Job Market Finland.
TE services will transfer to municipalities in 2025
