The MMA Unemployment Fund will be merged with the KOKO fund

The MMA Unemployment Fund for Professionals in Sales, Marketing and Purchasing will be merged with the Unemployment fund for highly educated KOKO in the beginning of 2021. The merger will not affect KOKO’s current members.

During the postal strike starting on Monday 11/11, mail will not be sent from the KOKO fund. Though the strike will delay the mailing of decisions, this will not affect the payment of benefits. We recommend sending applications and attachments through the KOKO fund’s eService.

A legislative change affecting the unemployment benefits of entrepreneurs’ family members will take effect at the beginning of July. In future, family members working in a family business will be considered salaried employees if they do not hold ownership or control in the company.
