Information on processing applications in KOKO

The status of applications processing is updated daily on the front page

On our website’s front page, you can see up-to-date information on the date of receipt of the daily allowance applications we are processing. We update the information every weekday morning.

If you submitted your application before the specified dates but have not yet received a payment notification, your application is probably still being processed. Please wait patiently. We will contact you if any additional information is needed.

The processing of the first-time application usually takes longer

First-time applications are applications for daily allowance for the first time or after a long break. The processing of first-time applications usually takes longer, as we need to calculate the amount of your earnings-related unemployment allowance. Your subsequent applications are called follow-up applications.

Many factors affect the processing time for applications

We process daily allowance applications in the order in which they are received.

The processing time for your application depends on factors such as the time of month, the attachments to your application, whether you have worked during the application period, whether a new labour policy statement has been received, or whether a new decision on your daily allowance must be made.

You should allow at least 1–2 weeks for your application to be ready for processing, even if your previous applications have been processed more quickly.

Speed up the processing of your application

  • Submit your applications at regular intervals

When you apply for daily allowance for regular periods (calendar months, months, or 4-week periods), your application can be submitted for payment automatically, and you will receive your daily allowance quickly. If, on the other hand, you submit your applications at irregular intervals, your application may end up being processed manually, which may delay the processing of your application.

  • Only include relevant information in the additional information section of your application

If you enter information in the additional information field of your application, your application will be removed from automatic payment and forwarded to our unemployment security specialist for processing. We recommend that you only enter information relevant to the processing of your application in the additional information field, and not, for example, expressions of gratitude addressed to us – however much we appreciate them – so that there are no unnecessary delays in receiving your daily allowance.

Tips for smooth service

Enable the following tips from the Settings on the KOKO eService home page:

  1. Activate text message notifications – you will be notified as soon as your daily allowance application has been processed
We can notify you by text message when your application has been processed. The text message will indicate the amount to be paid and the payment date.
  2. Switch to electronic daily allowance decisions
You will only receive your daily allowance decision electronically if you select eService as the delivery method.
  3. Order a reminder for submitting your next follow-up application
You can order a reminder to be sent to your email address when it is time to submit your next application. We will remind you to submit your application when a month or four consecutive calendar weeks have passed since your previous application.
